MEET KRISTI SPENCER, PT
My passion is helping people to feel better. I want to find the root cause of the problem, provide effective treatment, and achieve lasting results. The 20+ years I have spent here in Wilsonville have been a privilege, not only to have become a trusted clinician for patients, but to have made long-term connections with so many. At the end of the day, I have been successful if I have contributed to improving the lives of those around me.
I opened my private practice, Wilsonville Physical Therapy, in 1995. Prior to that I worked in the outpatient department of a large Portland-area medical center, in another physical therapist's private practice, in skilled nursing facilities, and in patients' homes. I attended Whitworth College and received my Physical Therapy degree from the University of Montana (Missoula) in 1987.
Now, I pursue continuing education in all areas of orthopedic care in order to stay current in our rapidly advancing profession. Particular areas of interest are the use of Fascial Counterstrain and Strain Counterstrain techniques for all areas of the body, evaluating long-standing areas of pain that need a new approach, and preventing unnecessary mechanical problems down the road.
OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Outside the clinic, my husband and I are often at swim meets cheering on our two sons who are competitive swimmers, on the sidelines of soccer games, volunteering for our boys' schools, camping/hiking/travelling, or working on our Canby property.

Kristi Spencer is phenomenal!!! I have been living with back pain for years and have seen countless physical therapists. Very little progress was ever made towards long-term relief. A friend recommended Kristi and couldn't say enough good things....With reservations about seeing another physical therapist, I finally decided to give it a try. Wow, was I thankful I did!!! Kristi has made a world of difference for me. Kristi utilizes several techniques including the Strain Counterstrain method. Kristi not only focuses on the problem area, but works with surrounding areas to make sure proper function and support is established. She has made a major impact in my daily pain and mobility!
